Dancer Wellness Workshop Series - Summer 2022
As a dancer, if you feel:
  • worried about an injury keeping you out of the studio or replaced on stage
  • frustrated, discouraged, or confused why you’re not seeing improvement in your skills even though you work on it ALL THE TIME
 But want to:
  • feel confident waiting in the wings knowing that you’re about to crush your performance
  • trust that you are strong enough to push limits and go after whatever is thrown at you
As a parent, if you feel:
  • concerned about how all this dancing, especially the noisy hip popping, will affect your child down the road
  • heartbroken watching your dancer work so hard to improve their skills but end up in tears because nothing changes – and you don’t know how to help
But want to:
  • feel confident that your dancer is training hard without BEING hard on their growing body
  • celebrate with your dancer as they make progress towards achieving their goals because it’s important to them and makes them happy, which makes you happy
… then the Dancer Wellness Workshop Series is perfect for you!

It’s an opportunity for dancers ages 12+ who dance 5+ hours/week to level up their technique and performance this summer without getting overloaded with another dance class.

**All workshops will be held 7:00-8:00pm at Hygge FIT (2128 Remount Rd, Charlotte, NC 28208)

Individual workshops = $35 each
Entire series = $109
Workshops are meant to build on one another so registering for the entire series is recommended, but dancers would still benefit from attending individual workshops if they are unable to participate every week. To learn more about each workshop, click on the Learn More button below the workshop titles listed above.

Parents/guardians of minor-age dancers are STRONGLY encouraged to attend and take notes during the workshops. Also, the last 15 minutes of each workshop will be for Q&A and parents usually find this extremely beneficial for themselves and their dancer(s). Please note – unfortunately chairs will not be available, but there will be plenty of standing/sitting space around the edges of the room.

If your dancer is younger than 12 y.o. and you are still interested in the workshops, please reach out to us directly: pthead2toe@gmail.com. If there is enough interest, we may be able to add other workshops for younger dancers or we can talk about your specific concerns.

Hi there! I am Dr. Meghan Gearhart and I own Head2Toe Physical Therapy, Dance Medicine & Performance.

I have the privilege of providing youth and adolescent dancers the specialized support they deserve while recovering from injuries and improving their performance - while providing answers and direction for dance parents trying to navigate the delicate balance between their child's happiness and long-term health.

I am so excited to offer the Dancer Wellness Workshop Series this summer! It's a great opportunity for your dancer to learn how to level up their performance without overloading themselves with another dance class, and gives you the opportunity to connect with someone who can answer those burning questions that you've had all year but weren't sure who to ask.

I can't wait to work with you and your dancer ❤
