Dance Conditioning Classes

Pilates strengthens the core, improves balance, increases coordination, and decreases stress. Exercises are low impact and focus is placed on breath, alignment, precision, and trunk/limb movement integration. Regular practice is a great way to build the skills needed in dance - particularly flexibility, strength, and placement for leg extensions and finding "center" during turns and while balancing.

Dance classes alone will likely not provide dancers with the performance results they are looking for. Conditioning classes include training the specific strength, flexibility, balance, and cardio that all dance requires, while incorporating elements of speed, endurance, rhythm, and body and spatial awareness required by individual dance styles.
